Terms of Use

These terms cover Motocare's website, product-specific policies, and the current paid options available through the App Store. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application EULA also applies.

Apple Standard EULA

If you downloaded Motocarefrom the App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

These Terms of Use supplement that Apple agreement with product-specific policies about support, acceptable use, content you enter into the app, and how subscriptions are described on this site.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Motocare app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Use of the App

Motocare is a personal vehicle management tool for tracking fuel consumption and maintenance records. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.

The app is available on iOS devices. You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements and that your operating system and app version are kept reasonably up to date.

Account Responsibility

If you create an account using Sign in with Apple, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the app, including vehicle details, fuel logs, and maintenance records.

Subscription and Billing

Motocare may offer a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro plan that unlocks additional functionality.

The current paid options offered through the Apple App Store are the Motocare Pro 6 Months (an auto-renewable plan billed every 6 months) and Motocare Lifetime Pro (a one-time purchase that does not renew).

Pricing is displayed clearly in the App Store before you subscribe. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with reasonable notice.

Apple Billing and In-App Purchases

All purchases, including auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time purchases, are processed exclusively through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not collect or store your payment information.

If you purchase the 6-month Pro subscription, you authorise Apple to charge your Apple ID account on a recurring basis until you cancel. That plan automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Motocare Lifetime Pro is billed once and does not auto-renew.

Apple handles all billing, receipts, and payment-related queries. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly as outlined in their policies.

Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by:

  1. Going to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tapping your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Selecting Motocare and choosing your preferred option.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to pro features until that date.

Motocare Lifetime Pro does not renew, so there is no recurring subscription to cancel for that purchase type.

To restore a previously purchased subscription or one-time purchase on a new device, use the "Restore Purchases" option available within the app.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
  • Interfere with the app's operation or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data.
  • Misuse the support contact channel with abusive or fraudulent requests.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within the Motocare app and this website are owned by or licensed to the developer. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the app without prior written permission.

Data you enter into the app (such as your vehicle records) remains yours. You retain ownership of the content you create.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Motocareis provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

The app is intended as a personal record-keeping tool. It should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional mechanical advice or service records in any legal, insurance, or warranty context.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, missed service intervals, or vehicle-related costs.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the app or restrict access to specific features at any time, with or without notice. If we discontinue a paid subscription plan, we will provide reasonable notice.

If you breach these terms, your right to use the app may be terminated immediately.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are published means you accept the revised terms.
